SOULSHAPE

Eni Derhemi, 2020, visual poetry on digital photography

What kind of presence of the self do I look for? Is it physical, does it start from my body or does it start from my soul? What has always haunted me in this almost “mission impossible” is entering in a rational dialogue with my self and therefore being able to represent this process in its invisible content; what I look for, cannot be seen. Am I ready to disconnect my self from the pattern of representation, (a representation that goes through the selection of the desired material I have already gathered through my existence), before seeing my self nude starting from my own preconceptions? I want to go where pain is generated and also where love heals existence. I want to go there, grasp some of it, come back and let the others know how it looks and feels: the absence of what I think I am, in order to go through what I really am.
